Fast-tracking Student Apartment Renovations
Mount St. Mary’s hired CCM in January of 2018 to facilitate the renovation of 39 Student Apartments at Keelty Towers. The project needed to be completed by the Fall semester. At that point, a budget was not set, and a program had not been established. CCM led programming meetings to quickly define the project’s scope and develop pricing alternates to meet the university’s budget. Within 60 days, the scope was finalized, finishes were selected, and design documents were developed, allowing material to be ordered in time for construction to start in May. As the owner’s representative, CCM oversaw the schedule and coordinated activities in the field. We negotiated the purchase of equipment, hired Relocation Consulting Management to handle the move, and coordinated the purchase and delivery of new furniture. The project was successfully completed in early August in time for student move-in.
